Why Volunteer at the HOPE Centre?
This is the first of it's kind. People who volunteer at the HOPE Centre are a part of the hands and feet of Jesus in the heart of this community.
If God has placed a burden on your heart to contribute some of your time, talents and giftings, we want to hear from you.
"I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow."

We are currently looking for volunteers to fill the roles listed below.
Coffee Shop & Bookstore Helper
Are you a Christ follower who has an extra few hours to spare each week? Are you looking for an opportunity to serve in a Christian, ministry environment, using your gifts and your love for people to serve the Lord? Great NEWS! We are looking for volunteers to serve at the Friends Coffee Shop & Bookstore here at the HOPE Centre.
Qualifications:
This ideal voluteer:

Has strong interpersonal skills.

Loves to chat with people and maintain a Christ centred environment.

Is comfortable with serving people.
-
Is consistant, dependable and able to commit to regular, scheduled hours.

Please note, the HOPE Centre is currently open Wed - Sat 9 - 4. This volunteer opportunity will fall within these days and hours. Currently it is a weekly, 6 - 8 hour role.
Volunteer Coordinator / Community Space Organizer
Do you love Jesus and organizing people too?
Are you organized and want to join in supporting this new ministry, using your skillset to help manage volunteers (organizing, training, recruiting and celebrating)?
Qualifications:
This ideal voluteer:

Has strong interpersonal skills.

Is strongly oriented toward relationships.

Their leadership style reflects a Christ centered, love for people.

They have basic computer skills for management purposes.
We are looking for candidates who are wanting to grow with us. This role could potentially develop into a paid position as the HOPE Centre continues to grow. Currently it is 2 - 4 hours a week.
We are looking to have this role manage volunteers, plus help organize upcoming events at the HOPE Centre.
