About

Holding fast to Christ.  Obeying the call.  Proclaiming the Gospel.  Equipping Disciples.

OUR MISSION

To share the Gospel of
Jesus Christ.

OUR VISION

That all who enter will...
See the Light of God and be drawn to it.
Feel the Love of God and find rest in it.
Desire the will of God and follow it.

OUR FRAMEWORK
for Ministry

Holding fast to Christ.
Obeying the call.
Proclaiming the Gospel.
Equipping Disciples.

How We Live Out Our Mission

We seek to live out our mission in two complementary ways.

Intentionally — through Bible studies, workshops, worship gatherings, discipleship opportunities, and biblically grounded resources that equip believers to grow in their faith.

Naturally — through everyday conversations, meaningful relationships, hospitality, and a welcoming environment where encouragement and fellowship happen organically.

Together, these intentional and everyday moments help fulfill our mission of equipping, encouraging, and edifying believers to confidently share the Gospel of Jesus Christ while shining His light throughout our community.

Sharing the HOPE that is found in Christ alone.

EDIFYING

Promoting growth in Christian knowledge, faith, and holiness.

"Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts."

Colossians 3:16

"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen."

Ephesians 4:29

ENCOURAGING

Gathering as believers, encouraging each other; and strengthening up a community of followers of Jesus Christ.

"Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.  Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality."

Romans 12:10-13

EQUIPPING

Providing resources, equipping believers to fulfill their God-given purpose, engage in ministry, and mature in their faith.

Striving to fulfill the great commission.

"And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation."

Mark 16:15

What We Are

We are a MINISTRY.
The Hope Centre is an unincorporated association. We are an unregistered, not-for-profit ministry.

We are a BUSINESS.
The Friends Coffee Shop & Christian Bookstore is a registered corporation.

Together, these two expressions create complementary pathways for ministry—one intentional and structured, the other relational and organic.

What We Believe

We affirm our belief in the one-eternal God, Creator and Lord of the world, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who governs all things according to the purpose of His will.

We believe that the bible is God's inerrant word.

What We Do

We come together as Christ's disciples, encouraging each other, sharing the HOPE of Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 10:24-25

Along with our coffee shop, bookstore, and library, the HOPE Centre offers social programs, workshops and facilitates Christian counselling opportunities.

Why We Do it

We believe, as Christians, we are called to love one another and share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

"I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow."

1 Corinthians 3:6-7
