Loss is something we all experience,
but we don't always know what to do with it.
Whether it is the loss of a loved one, a relationship, a dream, a season of life, or something we thought would always be part of our story, loss can leave us hurting, confused, and sometimes afraid to face what we are feeling.
Facing Your Losses Biblically is an opportunity to gently identify the losses we carry and explore how, through a biblical perspective, we can begin to acknowledge our pain, feel safe in the process, and move toward healing and hope.
During this workshop, Zdenka Slama will introduce the different stages and experiences of loss, helping us recognize that grief is not always a straight path and that everyone processes loss differently. Together, we will consider what can happen within us as we move through loss and how understanding these stages can help us respond with greater compassion toward ourselves and others.
Most importantly, we will look at loss through the lens of God’s Word, discovering that we don't have to deny our pain or walk through it alone. Facing what hurts can be an important part of moving toward healing, while trusting that God is present with us every step of the way.
As Norman Wright says:
“How you respond to the losses in your life will affect you for the rest of your life.
Loss is not the enemy; not facing it is.”
This will be a meaningful time of reflection, learning and encouragement as we explore how we can face our losses honestly, safely and biblically—and discover the hope that is found in God even in the midst of our pain.
