Resilience is a buzzword for today
Given the stressful times we live in and our preoccupation with maintaining good mental health and personal wellness, adopting helpful skills to keep our heads above water, is more essential than ever. Chronic stress takes a toll on our mind, body, and spirit, and can affect every aspect of our lives. We need to have a response: Resilience! Our ability to cultivate resilience is also affected by our individual belief systems. Consequently, the book also discusses how our personal core values, religious faith and spirituality, as well as our worldview can promote resilience and lead even to spiritual transformation.

The HOPE Centre was born out of a simple but powerful realization:
there was nowhere in our town to buy a Bible.
We knew something needed to change, and God faithfully opened the door for Friends Coffee Shop & Christian Bookstore and the HOPE Centre — a Christian Community Hub — and what another remarkable and faith-filled year it has been.
Now, to celebrate our anniversary, we want to give back in the way we were first called: by putting the Word of God into people's hands.
